A healthy society is the wealth of the City. Health, being the top priority of the City Government is the most funded project. The City Government continuously provides its constituents the benefit of free medicines, free medical, and dental and laboratory services. Pre and post natal maternal care, free new-born screening and expanded programs on free immunization for babies, free circumcision and dengue/h-fever control programs were afforded to the Lipeños. The City provides P24,841,297.54 for the Mayor Meynardo A. Sabili (MAS) Health Card for its indigent constituents which they can use for hospitalization and medications. Aside from this, the City Government provided Philhealth cards for its indigent constituents totaling P14,983,200.00.
Numerous citations were received by the City Government that manifests itscommitment to foster healthy and livable
city for Lipeños, among which is the City with High Detection Rate and Cure Rate for Calendar Year(CY)2013 given by the Provincial Government of Batangas.
The operation of City-run and owned hospital for less privileged Lipeños is still the priority plan of the Local Chief Executive. The three storey building hospital amounting to P140,319,460.84equipped with hospital equipment of P56,812,111.69 was formally inaugurated on April 17, 2013.
OSPITAL NG LIPA, a 71-bed capacity hospital, is now operating under a Level 1 accreditation grandted by the Department of
Health and Philheath. As such, the hospital is now authorized to perform surgeries and offer top of the line services such as
dialysis,CT scan, fluoroscopy,2D-echo,ICU,ophthamology services,rehabilitation and sports medicine and dental services.
The operation of the hospital is backed-up by the P25M allocation for MAS Blue Card (a family health card with P10,000 coverage)
and a P20M allocation for the Philhealth contribution OF LGU sponsored memebers.He also provided financial assistance to more than
800 Lipenos confined at private and public hospitals in 2014 under the MAS Healthcare Assistance Program.
MayorSabili continued to support programs and projects pertaining to proper nutrition and sanitation,feeding programs,assistance to pregnant women
and other health-related activities as well.
