As Lipa City makes waves and creates a niche in the cultural, economic, political, and religious aspects of development and progress, there is no doubt that we are also stamping a mark at the forefront of medical services in Batangas. Majority of patients from nearby towns and cities seek medical attention at many health facilities in Lipa, especially during those trying times of the COVID – 19 pandemic. 

       To name a few, medical facilities operational in Lipa whether private or public are Ospital ng Lipa, Lipa City District Hospital, N.L. Villa Memorial Medical Center, Mary Mediatrix Medical Center, Metro Lipa Medical Center, San Antonio Medical Center of Lipa, Divine Love General Hospital and Lipa Medix Medical Center. In 2022, Lipa will have three more big hospitals- in Bugtong, Banay Banay and Antipolo del Sur.

       Lipa’s location in the province is strategic; access is likewise easy with the opening of major road arteries and road networks. In addition, with the establishment of huge hospital buildings, came the cutting edge medical equipment and facilities that cater to major illnesses and medical problems. 

       Thus, practitioners, specialists, consultants and experts flock to provide specific service to the needy. Acid test came during the height of the pandemic. Hospitals reached their full capacity. As hectic as the days, months maybe, as scared patients, or even the frontline medical service providers maybe, hard times passed by. Everyone was able to hurdle the toughest of times, with the unwavering support from the government.   

       This goes without saying that success was attributed to the unfazed stance of Mayor Eric B. Africa, who made, and still makes himself available, providing resources or logistics for every need of his constituents. 

       Hard times were bearable because of his leadership that stood the “test of time”. His efforts really deserve a “thumbs up”.
