TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

The Local Government Unit through the City Public Order and Safety (CPOS) Office carries out the responsibility of safeguarding and maintaining this peaceful climate which is a very important component of development. Lipa has gone far in terms of progress and development. Since the early 2000s, buildings exists along J.P. Laurel highway, business establishments are built along C.M. Recto Ave and Big Schools along Barangay Tambo. Along with the progress and economic growth of the city, however, is the traffic congestion and other related problems. The city government, through the Traffic Management Division, continued the vital role in traffic management. Efforts to improve the traffic flow are evidenced by continuous adoption and implementation of traffic rules and regulations within the city. Also there are developments to access to new roads to ease traffic congestion. 


The Traffic Management Division Office, an office under the City Public Order and Safety, is located at Barangay 1 at the back corner of the Lipa City Youth and Cultural Center. It has 118 personnel. The office continued working hand in hand with local enforcement agencies to further enhance the campaign on public safety among residents and to keep roads safe for the commuters. 



For the Year 2022, a total of 8,438 Traffic Violators were apprehended through the issuance of traffic citation tickets in partnership with LTO, PNP, and DPWH. 

On 2022, there were 3 Major Terminals in the City of Lipa namely SM Grand Terminal, Robinsons Terminal and along Public Market and City Proper. There are total of 90 Public Utility Vehicle Toda in the City of Lipa excluding those that are inside their respective barangays.
